Swansea exceeded expectations last season, sneaking into the play-offs on the final day in Steve Cooper's first season in charge. The Swans have done some good business so far in the transfer window, with smart signings in key areas in an attempt to repeat last season's success prior to their play-off defeat. Woodman should slot straight into the starting XI and expect Gibbs-White, Lowe, Guehi and Smith to challenge for the starting places. Swansea relied heavily on loan signings to carry them to the play-offs last season and have replicated that business over the summer. Expect Swansea's key strength to be in their attacking areas. The Swans scored 62 goals last season and, with the addition of Lowe to their attack, it would be of no surprise if they improve on that this season. Swansea have depth in midfield and attacking areas, however, one weakness in the side is the lack of depth in defence. Steve Cooper may need to add one or two new faces in defence to sure things up at the back. Steve Cooper's style of play came into question on more than one occasion last season and he will be looking to improve the cohesion within the team, which seemed lacking at times in the past campaign.

Target

Play-offs. Swansea scraped into the play-offs on the final day last season and having improved on their squad over the summer, the target will be the same for this season.
