Brugge were dominant last season and were deservedly handed the title at the end of the curtailed season, having lost just once in 29 games in the league. Now the big aim for Philippe Clement and his men is to repeat the heroics from last season and maintain their status as the dominant force in the league. It is pretty much as it was at the end of last season for Brugge in terms of squad, with no major additions or departures. The big question for Clement is settling on a formation again after switching too often between the three-man backline and the 4-3-3 during the early months of 2020, at times unsettling the entire starting 11 and the team looking at their most vulnerable during this period. The other big question mark for Brugge is whether they can keep their squad intact until the end of the protected transfer window in October, with players like Dennis Emmanuel, Kreppin Diatta and Hans Vanaken being in demand. All in all, Brugge look by far the best side in the league and overwhelming favourites for the title at the start.
