The 2017/18 season was a disastrous one for MK Dons, as they were hoping to push for a return to the Championship, but ended up relegated. They underwent a huge makeover during the summer and Paul Tisdale managed to deliver what he was appointed to deliver, as the Dons returned to the third tier at the first time of asking and did so despite facing a tough injury situation during the majority of the season. The Dons once again recorded several ins and outs over the summer. The main blow is the departure of Chuks Aneke, who was tempted away by Charlton, while Dave Wheeler and Jake Hesketh have both also left, having returned to their parent clubs. However, several interesting signings were made and the fans will be delighted to see the Dons complete the capture of Rhys Healey, who signs from Cardiff after impressing while on loan with the Dons in the first half of the previous campaign. Their squad seems a touch stronger than it was last time around and, according to a recent interview, Tisdale feels that his side is now complete and that he has all that he needs to compete in the third tier.

Target

The Dons will be hoping for a top six finish, but a midtable finish seems more realistic with their current squad.
