Orlando had a tough 2025. Barely made the play-in, clinched the final spot in the East. Inability to keep clean sheets was their main weakness. This led to just 14 wins D11 L9 and a one-and-done play-in appearance. Lost 1-3 away vs Chicago to end their season. The forward actions and the solid play in midfield give a good base to build on. CM Cartagena missed all of 2025 with an ACL but he is back this season and this adds another great piece to an already solid line. The main changes were in defence this winter, as expected. GK Gallese and CB Schlegel didn’t have a good 2025 and their departures were expected. Well replaced by experienced GK Crepeau and young CB Teodoro, both of them projected to be regular starters. Seem keen to develop their All-American CF McGuire. His youth and promise mean he will likely start most games as the sole target man. In some matches the manager prefers to use 3 wingers up front, mostly away games vs top teams. This gives the Lions flexibility. The main concerns remain in defence. On paper have a solid starting options but the depth is seriously compromised and any injuries to regulars in this zone could lead to more shaky displays.

Target

Better defending should bring better results. Top 6 finish is the target for this campaign.
