Wanderers made it back-to-backs last-place finishes. Only goal difference left them behind their city rivals Sydney FC last term but still the displays were poor all the way. Only 5 wins in 20 rounds and the joint-worst attack, just 18 goals scored in 20 games. Despite the consecutive bad seasons and lack of development from the young talent in the squad coach Abrahams remains for third year in charge. It came to no surprise that this summer tons of changes took place. Parted ways with 13 players, most of them underperforming or simply being injured too often. Made some bold moves and brought in a few promising new stars. The main weakness of Wanderers last season was their inability to control the ball. There is real belief that this term the possession stats will be much better. Inner midfielders Rhianna Pollicina and Carleigh Frilles are seen as great new signings. Both should be regulars. German playmaker Samantha Iredale is a third quality midfielder to be signed. Conceded lots of cheap goals last term. To address that added new number one. Veteran Sarah Langman arrives from Mariners. Also, new defenders Bertolissio, Silje Bjørneboe and Jaber should play a lot since they were signed to replace the departed captain Amy Harrison, another centre-back Wang and the main right-back when fit Matos who was also released. The big question mark remains who will be scoring the goals. No major moves in that zone have been made. All of the current 3 strikers on the roster are age 18 or younger. Without a major move in attack Wanderers might even regress up front.

Target

Avoiding last place is the main priority. Play-off appearance will be a bonus.
