A dominant campaign for Bayern Munchen last season as they cruised to the Bundesliga title with four games to spare while also lifting the DFB Cup as well as the Super Cup. Only blemish for Vincent Kompany's side was in the Champions League semi-finals where they suffered a narrow exit at the hands of eventual winners Paris St Germain. Bayern have held on to all of their first choice players in the summer so far despite well publicized reports that Real Madrid were willing to pay big for Michael Olise. The German champions have looked towards youth in the transfer window, signing Nathaniel Brown from Eintracht Frankfurt to provide competition for Alphonso Davies at left flank while also signing Ismael Saibari from PSV Eindhoven, with the Morocco international able to play in multiple positions in the midfield. With regards to departure, Leon Goretzka is the only player who enjoyed regular minutes to leave the club after they decided not to renew his contract. Raphael Guerreiro has also left on a free transfer while Bayern have managed to sell a number of fringe players, including Daniel Peretz, Alexander Nubel and Noel Aseko. The departure of Nicolas Jackson following the end of his loan spell leaves a hole in the squad though with Harry Kane being the only recognized striker. With Bayern also not deciding to replace Goretzka and with Palhinha expected to leave, they now have only Kimmich, Pavlovic and Bischof for the two central midfield positions, though Saibari can be asked to play in a more central role. There are also question marks over the health of Jamal Musiala who has experienced issues during pre-season friendlies.

Target

Another league title. While there some holes still present in the squad for Bayern to plug, the trio of Olise, Kane and Luiz Diaz represent the best attack in the league and there is nothing to stop Bayern from once again enjoying a dominant domestic campaign this season while they will also be aiming to improve on their run in the Champions League.
