That smash and grab mentality on the road will be boosted by the impressive acquisitions of Abdel Abqar from Alaves and Kiko Femenia from Villarreal with proven defensive quality. Arguably the Azulones' biggest win over the summer months was retaining coach Jose Bordalas. His 304 games in charge are more than anyone else in Getafe's history, but he was linked with Sevilla late last season. Now secured again for this season, he'll be looking to make his team even harder to beat to continue to aim to climb up the table.
