Hansa Rostock produced a solid last campaign under coach Jens Hartel and achieved their aim of staying in the division. They had to dig deep at times but just 2 defeats from their final 10 games saw them over the line. The second season after a promotion is usually the more challenging and that is something Rostock needs to be wary of for the upcoming campaign. Stability in the division will now be the aim and coach Hartel will again lead the troops. Rostock has not settled with the same team and has been busy in the transfer market with many players coming in over the summer. Also, some fringe players have departed the club to trim down the squad. Behrens, Rizzuto, and Becker are the only notable departures but they should have more than enough replacements. Schroter, Proger, Strauß, and Ananou are all good buys, especially given their Liga 2 experience. Midfielder Frode has also been signed permanently after impressing on loan last season. You would expect a stronger Rostock overall next season, depending on how quickly the new player's gel. They will also be aiming to improve their home form, something that was lacking last time out.

Target

Hansa Rostock will be looking to push on this season and with the squad they have, a top-half finish is not out of the question, a good start and overall consistency will be key.
