It's hard to remember the last time when a team promoted from League Two was followed by as much hype as Swindon are at the moment, but it isn't difficult to see where all the hype is coming from, given that the Robins won the league playing some great football, while Paolo Di Canio's high profile and his eccentric behavior kept the club under the spotlight of the wider public. As a result, no one expects Swindon to be content to finish midtable on their season of return to League One, as the Robins are expected to make a strong promotion push right away. They haven't done their chances any harm over the summer: top scorer Alan Connell did leave after failing to agree a new deal, but a number of fine signings have been made: James Collins and Andy Williams are expected to make up for Connell's goals, Gary Roberts, Alan Navarro and Tommy Miller all have experience with winning promotion from this division, while Jay McEveley is a solid Championship defender and should prove to be a success in League One as well. The Robins are therefore well equipped to gun for their second consecutive promotion, and regardless of whether they manage to achieve it or not, we can expect them to provide us with a lot of entertainment, both due to their playing style and Di Cano's unconventional methods of motivating his players.
