Stadium	Molineux Stadium (opened 1889) Capacity: 32,050 Pitch Size: 100m x 64m The current Molineux is an early 1990s design as the ground was extensively redeveloped along the guidelines of the Taylor report. The present structure has been undergoing redevelopment since 2011, but work to rebuild the Steve Bull Stand was put on hold in 2012. Plans remain in place to bring the capacity up towards 40,000 and ultimately 50,000 pending planning approval. Continued presence in the Premier League would seem to be a must if these plans are to be realised. Given that the club almost went bankrupt when rebuilding the stadium in 1979, this more cautious approach is not without merit.
Recent History	Wolves spent a 3 season spell in the Premier League between 2009/10, 2010/11 and 2011/12. With relegation came a period of further decline at the club as managers Stake Solbakken & after him Dean Saunders failed to stop the rot during a campaign that saw Wolves drop to League One. Kenny Jackett was brought in, in May 2013 and to his credit guided the team back to The Championship in his first season in charge. He was replaced in the 2016 season by Walter Zenga. The Italian goalkeeping legend lasted just 14 games before he was dispensed with. Further upheaval came later in the season as his replacement Paul Lambert was dismissed at the end of the campaign. Nuno Espirito Santo was brought in from Porto to lead the club in the 2017/18 season, a choice which proved inspired as he guided the club back to the Premier League via The Championship title. Playing flowing football that is easy on the eye, Wolves would follow up on that impressive return with a 7th place finish in their first season back in the top flight. With that came European qualification and a place in the Europa League.

A crisis that saw Julen Lopetegui leave last August and the departures of key players Ruben Neves, Matheus Nunes and Nathan Collins, led many to believe that Wolves will get relegated at the end of the 2023/24 campaign. However, Gary O’Neil did a very good job in his first season at the club, easily keeping them in the division. There’s been no big signings made by Wolves so far this summer and the club is not expected to go on a spending spree ahead of next season. Relatively unknown players have arrived, but Wolves have proved that their scouting team have a keen eye for detail and know how to spot talented players. Pedro Neto has joined Chelsea and Wolves are expected to find a replacement. Meanwhile, O’Neil has earned the opportunity to work for a full preseason with the team. Wolves may need to further strengthen their squad, while Max Kilman’s departure might be a blow if they don’t sign a solid replacement for the defence. O’Neil’s counter-attacking football has got the best out of Matheus Cunha and Hwang Hee-chan. Despite Neto's departure, Wolves’ attacking line could be their main strength again this season should they sign a solid replacement. Meanwhile, the 65 goals they conceded was the fifth-worst tally in the Premier League. Defence could be their main weakness again should they not beef it up in the summer.
