It is Brentford's last season at their famous old Griffin Park and they will look to sign off from their home in style. The Bees have often used the venue, very tight, to their advantage but have not been strong on the road in recent years, something they know needs changing. It has been boss Thomas Frank's first summer as boss and he has been busy. To lose especially Ezri Konsa is a blow but Brentford appear to have strengthened with the signings of David Raya in goal as well as defenders Ethan Pinnock and Pontus Jansson. Additionally their midfield looks rock solid with Christian Norgaard and Mathias Jensen both arriving from abroad. There are issues though. The future of Neal Maupay looks very uncertain and he would be a big loss given his goals last term. Romaine Sawyers could also be on the way out too. Brentford had a bit of a difficult campaign last time with Dean Smith leaving for Aston Villa and they will hope to surprise a few people this time around, something they have done in a number of previous campaigns.

Target

Brentford are a small, ambitious club and will see nothing wrong with setting the target of making the play-offs this term.
