Graham Potter was arguably one of the managers of the season last time as he provided some stability for Swansea, flirting with the play-offs at one stage before falling by the wayside. However Potter's progress attracted the interests of Brighton who gave him their manager's job in the summer and has hit Swansea hard again. Steve Cooper is Potter's replacement, untried at this level, and it appears as if Swansea are right back to square one. Signings so far have been pretty much non-existent with only Jake Bidwell arriving from QPR. The Swans have also had a significant departure with Dan James departing for Manchester United, as he inevitably would. It all in all adds up to pretty bleak picture and it is difficult to see Swansea doing too much this season. Things could change if they are able to bring in further players, and they may well use the loan market to their advantage.
