Hull have had off the field issues in recent seasons and they are showing no signs of going away. Boss Nigel Adkins took his team before deciding whether to stay and ended up rejecting a new deal and leaving. That has brought in Doncaster boss Grant McCann to the club and there is now certainty in how he will do. Adkins stabilised a club in mass-decline and did well to earn a couple of decent mid-table finishes. Yet it may well be difficult for McCann coming in, especially with unrest from fans. McCann though has bought well with Matt Ingram coming in in goal while Tom Eaves scored plenty of goals at a lower level with Gillingham last term. Josh Bowler also arrives on loan from Everton. There is pressure on Eaves to deliver as few players scored regularly last term. Jarrod Bowen remains by far and away Hull's best player and he was top scorer from midfield last term. But he has attracted mass interest from elsewhere and there is some surprise he is yet to leave, but may well do so before the end of the window. Hull will hope McCann can do what Adkins did but there is no certainty of that and it could be a difficult season.
