Juventude made a name for themselves as a team that was hard to beat under Thiago Carpini, and thus achieved promotion in 2023 after finishing 2nd in Serie B .However, the coach didn't stay on for the new season, signing with São Paulo at the start of 2024 to replace Dorival Júnior, who became the coach of the Seleção. His replacement was Manager Roger Machado, who has more experience in Serie A. The new coach has already shown that he can make this team competitive, reaching the final of the Campeonato Gaúcho, won by Grêmio. Juventude's transfer window was quiet. Unlike the other newly promoted teams, they didn't bring in many players with significant Serie A experience, limiting themselves to right-back João Lucas and forwards Gilberto and Lucas Barbosa, who join veteran midfielder Nenê.
