Football Season Review

№13: Ostersunds

Ostersunds started the season with the target to avoid relegation. They achieved it pretty easily and pretty early in the season especially because they offered extremely good performances when playing on the road. It is remarkable that Ostersunds gathered at the end 23 points in away matches while only 10 points at home. When they ensured that they will remain Allsvenskan though, the team relaxed and didn't play well so, as a consequence, they had 6 losses in a row in the final matches of the league. Blair Turgott was the best golascorer of the team with 7 goals. In general though OFK din't have any good attacking performance as they scored only 27 times, holding the worst scoring performance of the league. Defensively the team was pretty solid relying on goalkeeper Keita and defender Sonko-Sundberg. Ludwig Fritzson was also a key player in the midfield and hopefully for Ostersunds he renewed his ending contract. Briefly, the season was pretty successful for Ostersunds and it would have been even better if the league had finished a month earlier, as their final performances weren't similar to those of the initial 24 matchdays.

Player of the Season: Blair Turgott
