Lee Johnson did a truly remarkable job at Ashton Gate last term in not only keeping Bristol City up when the writing appeared to be on the wall but assure safety was confirmed with something to spare. Given the successes of Johnson in the transfer market over the summer, expectations have again been raised at Ashton Gate. Goalkeeper Ivan Lukic has arrived from Bayern Munich while defender Hordur Magnusson joins from Juventus. Lee Tomlin, such a key player while on loan last term, has arrived permanently from Middlesbrough while Callum O'Dowda is another exciting addition after signing from Oxford. Home form last term was disappointing but with development work at Ashton Gate completing it should feel a bit more like home again.
