Football Season Guide

2020 season was the year of the total rebuild for the Chicago Fire franchise. New owner, new logo, new stadium, new front office, new coaching staff and a half new squad. After all these changes it is nearly a success that they ended up very close (just a point below) to the playoffs. This season things remain pretty the same, without major changes in the team, something absolutely logical. Also coach Wicky remained untouched. Robert Beric will continue to be the leader of the team as the leading goalscorer of Chicago, and one of the competitors for the Golden Boot Award, scored 12 goals in his first season with the team. Promising winger Ivanov and solid defender Espinoza were the major additions for the club in the transfer period and they are expected to give more depth and balance to the roster, while making up for Mihailovic, Azira and Sapong departures.
