The Sounders reached their 4th MLS Final in the last 5 years showing their great consistency within the last decade. They finished 2nd in the West and they lost in the MLS Cup Final to Columbus. This season will not easily be as successful as the previous one, though, as Jordan Morris is not in the team anymore while also several more starters left Seattle. Lodeiro and Ruidiaz will be the players that should carry the load for Seattle in Morris' absence. Lodeiro with 7 goals and 10 assists last year was a key factor and that's what he wants to do this season as well. Ruidiaz too, with 33 goals in a bit more than 50 MLS matches in his career, continues to be a scoring machine and he will be again a major competitor for the MLS Golden Boot award. If you add to the mix above another top goalscorer, Freddy Montero, who is back in town, and Kellyn Rowe, the very experienced midfielder from the Revs, who are the new additions, expect that the loss of Morris, Svensson, Joevin Jones, Torres, Leerdam and Muse, won't be so significant at the end of the season.

Target

The target will for sure be to reach the MLS Cup final for the 5th time in the last 6 years. But this won't be an easy task for the Sounders.
