LAFC was one the teams most affected by injuries last season as they missed their leader Carlos Vela, Diego Rossi and Brian Rodriguez in many critical matches. As a matter of fact they finished in the 7th place in the West and they were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by the Sounders. This season we expect to see the 2019 LAFC again and not the 2020 one as their superstar Carlos Vela is back. The undisputable leader of the team has 52 goals and 29 asists in 66 MLS matches in his career. Diego Rossi will for sure be the co-star in the team. Often overshadowed by Vela's quality, the Uruguyan showed his capability last year when he won the Golden Boot Award even in the absence of Carlos Vela. Brian Rodriguez was sent on loan to Almeria in Spain and may reurn in the summer and also Bradley Wright Phillips left the team, and these are the most important departures. On the other hand no superstar came, but the additions of Farfan, Hwan and Baird will surely add depth to the roster.

Target

LAFC will try to repeat their 2019 performance. Their target will be to reach the top of the Western Conference and go as far as they can in the playoff race and, why not, lift the trophy.
