The past one was a disappointing season for Real Salt Lake as the team ended 11th in the Western Conference and out of the playoffs. Coach Juarez will continue on the bench, though, with the target to bring the club back to the playoff race. Not many important changes occurred for Real Salt Lake except the retirement of their leader Kyle Beckermann after 498 MLS regular games. Rusnak and Kreilach have to replace him in leadership terms but also to prove that their performance last season was mainly due to the pandemic effect that caused problems to most of the players' performances in 2020. Despite the fact there were no changes, this could be seen in either ways. Someone would see it as an advantage because the teammates will remain the same and the collaboration between them will become easier, while someone else would argue that RSL might be in need of players that didn't arrive.

Target

The target will be to return to the playoffs.
