Last season, Konya were thankful to their home performance as it enabled them to survive at top level. In this point, the arrival of coach Recep Ucar is undeniable. With him, they have builded great home runs. Besides that, their cup success was unforgettable. They finished their group at top and could see the semi finals but were eliminated by the cup holders Galatasaray. Ahead of the new season, the board decided to keep on working wit coach Ucar as expected. This summer, the fans saw some important departures. Yusuf Erdogan left the team to join a 1st league side. The board also declared to part the company with some foreign players including regular keeper Slowik. Until now, they have failed to strengthen the squad. They did not let Bahadir leave the team this summer after his loan period come to an end. Following Yusuf’s depature, the left flank looks weak. They signed Enis Bardhi in but he has not met the expectations in Turkey so far. Andzouana was added to replace Boranijasevic but his career was not found well by the fans. The offence line looks the strongest so far as Umut Nayir & Blaz Kramer have stayed. Pedrinho & Aleksic should increase their form to feed them well. If not they fail, they will probably face lack of creativity and goal scoring problem. It looks like a must to add some quality to the team for coach Ucar. If he does not, a tough season start awaits him.

Target

As long as they stretch their strong home run against the Anatolian opponents, they should catch a safe midtable place.
