It was an interesting season with ups and downs for Alanya. In November, they were one of the relegatation candidates, but then they missed on the Europa League ticket just by a few points. Of course, coach Sergen Yalcin’s effect was the biggest factor for this success. The board could not come to an agreement with him in the summer. So he was replaced with coach Erol Bulut. They have been competing in the Super League for 3 years now and they have improved their defensive stats yearly. They have managaed to keep the best defensive members, like Tzavellas, Baiano, N’Sakala and Haydar, in the team. Lokman Gor and Juanfran were added to them. Keeper Marafona was also signed in from Braga. They look secure in the backline. Last season, they also offered their worst offensive performance at the top level. Lucas Villafanez was one of the important players in their offensive plans, but he left the team in the summer, but Salih Ucan was added from Empoli. He is expected to fill the role of attacking midfielder which was missing in Alanya. The former Fenerbahce man has not done well since joining Roma. It is a great opportunity for him to prove himself again. In order to increase the attacking options, Bakasetas and Bammou were added. Both players did not offer satisafactory performances last season and it will be their 1st experiences as legionaries. So their performances are questionable for the city for now. Ozan Tufan managed to meet expectations once he reached his form, but he also left. He was replaced greatly with Siopis and Musa. On the paper, Alanya’s squad look satisafactory. If the new arrivals in offence perform well, they can at least repeat last season’s success. Maybe more…

Target

To remain in the top ten is their main target. Besides that, an improvement from their recent bad cup run is also on their agenda.
