It will be a tough season for newcomers Gazisehir FK on their Super League debut. Now, the city welcomes Gazisehir FK and coach Marius Sumudica who has worked in Kayseri before. The experienced coach knows that he must increase the team’s strength to survive in the Super League. His 1st task was to bring 6 players to the backline. The whole defensive structure has changed with the arrivals of Kana Biyik, Tosca, Djilobodji, Olkowski, Morais and Guray. Their harmony is vital as the coach will use four of them in the 1st eleven, but the friendly fixtures proved that they need time to get to know eachother. The rest of the team is also not ready. Except Mugdat Celik, the board could not bring what the coach has asked for. Besides that, the coach reported that he does not want to work with some of last season's squad members, including Moussa Sow, Poepon and Kerim Avci. The fans did not like the coach’s decision about some players. Therefore, the coach has a short squad at the moment and is worried about the early fixtures. The local media also reported that some of the coach’s behaviours affect the team negatively as he slapped himself in the dressing room after they suffered a heavy defeat against the league opponents Alanya.
