Last season was a great one for Galatasaray as they won both league title and the Turkish Cup following the Super Cup. Once again, they target to repeat themselves. Can they make it? The experienced coach had to face some important departures like Maicon, Onyekuru, Fernando, but he has been pretty active in the summer transfer market. His first task was to replace offensive winger Onyekuru. He was replaced by Ryan Babel and Adem Buyuk who have both played in the Super League before. So they will not have any adaptation problem. On the right, the fans will see Jimmy Durmaz and Emre Mor in action. The latter will have to prove himself again as he has not been doing well recently. The quality of Jimmy Durmaz is clear. The former Genclerbirligi man is a great signing considering the Lions’ offensive style. Besides them, they have Belhanda and Feghouli. It means that they have plenty of options in creativity. The only handicap is represented by the offence zone. The coach is reluctant to work with Diagne. They target to sell him at once. If it happens, there is only Mitroglou up front. So they will have to bring at least an attacker. In the midfield, Seri was signed in and will compete with Selcuk Inan and Donk to get some chance. At center back, they do not look secure as there are only Marcao and Luyindama. Ahmet Calik is able to make any mistakes at any time. So it is a must to bring a fresh face to the backline. Sener Ozbayrakli arrived from the city rivals Fenerbahce. He has the quality to play at right back. Considering that there are also Mariano, Linnes and Nagatomo, the fans feel satisfied regarding the defensive wingers. At the moment, the Lions have the best squad, but they should not remain short up front considering the three competitions.
