A different story begins for the Black Eagles this season as life with coach Senol Gunes came to an end after 4-years together. They filled his role with coach Abdullah Avci who came from the city rivals Basaksehir. The right-back was the best performer of the league last season. Both players are expected to increased the level of the backline, but they are short at left back. Except Caner Erkin, there is no other option in the senior team. There is no fresh face in the midfield. Atiba, who is 36 years old, Dorukhan, Necip and Oguzhan will try to play both ways of football. The whole creative responsibility will belong to Adem Ljajic. Speaking about creativity, Quaresma’s performance could be accepted, but Lens did not do well. Now, Boyd will join them as an offensive winger. His performance will be a big question mark as some people believe that he is not at the level of Besiktas. The experienced attacker Burak Yilmaz is expected to produce plenty of goals. Young Guven Yalcin and Umut Nayir are on the coach’s pocket as his back-ups. Following the recent injury news, the new coach will have to kick off the season with a big headache. If they bought a left back, a left winger and an attacker in, it would be great. Otherwise, they could lose unexpected points during the tough season.
