Football Season Guide

It was a season of no consistency in 2025. Mixed 15 wins with 15 defeats and finished right in the middle – 10th place. Only 4 teams conceded more than Montedio’s 54 goals and this was their undoing. In attack looked sharp and crisp, especially at home. No improvement was noticed during the Vision League. Only 28th in the final standings. Lost 10 of their 18 league games outright. Conceded 25 goals in these 18 matches. Disaro led the attack well both last year and in the spring. Wide midfielder Kida was also productive in attack. In midfield Nakamura is always reliable. He is not very useful defensively though and with the back line constantly struggling Montedio might opt for a more defensive-oriented player to start next to Nakamura this season. Added a new left-back after trying 3 different players in the role in recent months and all of them failing. Sugii comes from J3 but he has rich J2 experience and should provide some stability in that zone. Kawana is another player that has joined. He also operates on the left side. More of a winger but has been known in the past to play as a full-back when needed. The rest of the defence is largely the same, so not certain how much better the record at the back will be. With the problems in defence still largely unresolved it is hard to see Montedio achieving much more this term.
