This summer very aggressive and positive transfer activity strengthened the squad a lot. Striker Nguen was a regular starter in the Saudi Pro League last year and a year earlier was shining in Sweden’s top flight. He can be the new goal machine Tochigi can rely on up front. Winger Vasquez is also an interesting new addition that should play a lot. New right-back Simmons and the few defenders and two goalies that also joined could all expect to see the pitch often. The overall feeling is that Tochigi strengthened their squad a lot. The J3 champions seem ready for the challenges of the higher division.
