Only a year after their surprising relegation Odense bounced back up in the most convincing of styles. The Division 1 champions finished full 14 points ahead of the team in third place, so their promotion was never in doubt. Suffered just 3 defeats in 32 rounds (18 wins and 11 draws). Scored 69 goals in these 32 games. Despite all that coach Søren Krogh left at the end of the season. Replaced him with the experienced German Alexander Zorniger. He most recently managed Greuther Furth back in his home land but knows Danish football well from his 4-year stint as Brondby manager (2016-19). Zorniger already made 3 strong moves to beef up the competition for places. Veteran Falk joins a strong midfield line to only add extra depth there. Also, signed 2 strikers from Germany (Arp and Ganaus). The former likely to take the role of the sold top goalscorer from last season Luca Kjerrumgaard. Have very good depth in every zone. Also, nice mixture between youth and experience. Playmaker Jakob Bonde will likely miss the entire regular season injured. However, now Falk has been added the midfield line should remain solid. Nicolas Bürgy and James Gomez are very good pair in the heart of the defence. Odense often change formations too. When they operate with a back 3 another experienced defender Bjørn Paulsen often starts. 22-year-old striker Luca Kjerrumgaard is a great talent. He is likely to score 10+ goals again. Have very rich options in attack to support him too, so the depth is already impressive.

Target

The goal is to enjoy mid-table comfort. Should have enough to stay out of trouble. Top 6 finish is a distant possibility.
