Alanya’s offensive-minded style enabled them to finish the last season in the top 5 and to compete in the European Cups for the 1st time in their club history. In fact, they could have offered a much better performance, since they recorded only one victory in the 8 fixtures between September and November and one in the 9 fixtures between February and July. Of course, their success attracted the big clubs’ attentions and the fans saw the departures of important players including N’Sakala, Junior Fernandes, Welinton. Last season’s top goal scorer Cisse’s contract has expired and creative midfielder Bakasetas is also very likely to quit as there are some serious offers in wait. On top of that, they lost coach Erol Bulut who was signed by Fenerbahce. The board replaced him with coach Cagdas Atan who will have his 1st experience as a head coach. They also added some players like Davidson, Fatih Aksoy, but they are too far from last season’s squad quality at the moment. It is also unclear whether the new coach will stick with last season’s formation or not. Considering that they will be fighting in 3 competitions, the new coach needs to think about the squad depth and quality altogether. In general, there are lots of question marks for Alanya ahead of the new season.

Target

A safe midtable place should be their season goal. A good cup run and some experience in Europe are on their mind too.
