Antalya had a mixed campaign last season as they struggled to get points until the new year, thus being just a few points away from the relegation zone, but then turned into a great team after coach Tamer Tuna's arrival. With him in charge they recorded a great run and suffered only one defeat in 16 fixtures, thus finishing in midtable. As expected, the board decided to continue with the coach. There are more expectations from the coach and it is a big advantage that he will build his own squad ahead of the new season. Last season they struggled to produce enough goals when they lacked offensive players for any reason. This time around, they decided to have many options up-front and brought Orgill and Serdar Gurler in. However, they will be unable to use the latter till 2021. So they are likely to add one more new face to join Podolski, Jahovic, Mukairu, Dogukan and Amilton. It would be better if they could hire a play-maker with plenty of assists in his pocket, though. They do not seem short at the back, but it seems that they lack quality following Celutska’s departure. It is the same story for the midfield. Nuri Sahin’s arrival should make the difference, but they are short after Charles, Chico and Yekta left. On the paper, the coach has everything to be successful and they are capable of doing better than last season.

Target

They aim at finishing in the top 8. They will also be chasing for a European ticket by improving last season’s cup run.
