Last season Denizli avoided relegation once their direct survival opponents made big mistakes in the final fixtures. In fact, they had kicked off the campaign very well collecting 7 points and conceding nothing in the 3 initial fixtures, but then they struggled a lot. Following poor performances, the board had to change the coach 3 times. Along with bottom side Ankaragucu, they were the worst offensive performers of the league and this is the 1st problem that they need to solve. They extended 35-year-old Rodallega's contract and Mesanovic, who spent the last season in Kayseri, was signed in. They still have Aissati, Recep and Sacko, but their qualities are not good enough. In the summer, the fans saw many departures in the other departments. After Stachowiak and Tolgahan left, Cenk Gonen was added. The former Besiktas keeper has played only one fixture last season. At center back, Mustafa Yumlu and Oguz Yilmaz could do well, but it will be a very challenging season. Bakalorz arrived to play next to Murawski, but the midfield still looks vulnerable. On the other hand, there will be a board election one day before the season’s kick off. The fans are worried that the team prepared too late for the new season. Despite the club’s recent negative mood, the presence of coach Robert Prosinecki is the only factor giving the fans some hope. The Croatian coach is expected to bring some useful players in by using his international portfolio and build a wide range squad considering the busy schedule.

Target

Denizli are still out of their depth and will see survival as the main goal. The cup could be ignored in order to spend all their energy on survival.
