Tondela had a hugely dramatic end of season when, after every pundit had left them for dead for a long time, they managed to get back and save themselves in the very last round of fixtures. While very exciting, this time around the fans would appreciate a calmer season with relegation avoided a lot earlier. However, this should be a hard season like always for Tondela. The squad hasn't changed much from last season so one expects the level and quality to be improved. The hero of salvation, coach Pepa, will be counting on a few players who are unknown to the Portuguese public. On the other hand, not many important players have left, with the exception of flamboyant winger Jhon Murillo, who returned to Benfica after his loan. There are some expectations on what formation will Pepa bring for the new season, now that it is expected that there will be more reliable strikers in the squad such as Tomané.

Target

Avoid relegation. The team doesn't seem to have much better conditions than last year to aim for something better this time.
