Belenenses are coming off a very disappointing season and the fans showed their discontentment quite often. Ricardo Dias, who returns from a relatively good spell at Feirense, and Merlin Tadjigora, who returns to Portuguese football, are for now the players that might be candidates to replace Vítor Gomes in the team. Once a promising talent of Portuguese football, Bruno Pereirinha is coming back from a bizarre experience in Brazil and should affirm himself as an important player for Azuis this season. Despite some other yet relatively unknown names signing in as well, Belenenses fans surely are counting more on the talent of some players that remain from last year, such as striker Maurides who kept scoring goals in his short spell at Restelo last season even when the team was not playing too good and mainly losing.
