Paços had a relatively successful season as Os Castores avoided relegation some weeks in advance. That is usually what the fans expect from the team and this season should not be different. There weren't many moves in the squad, except the players that were at Paços de Ferreira on loan from other teams: midfielder Filipe Melo and wingers Ivo Rodrigues and Ricardo Valente are all gone. Centre-half Gegê is also on the move after a good second half of season, since arriving at the club in January. On the way in are two known players from the Portuguese league who can be very good additions for Vasco Seabra: experienced midfielder André Leão arrives from the Spanish league, and should fill in the blank spot left by Melo's departure. On the wings, former Marítimo player António Xavier is expected to give some good wide play to the side. Some other less known players arrived and the fans are expecting that a couple could be the extra factor that Paços might be needing during the season. However, the biggest hopes of both fans and personnel rely on striker Welthon. The forward from North of Brazil is looking to reach the mark of 16 goals that he achieved last season.

Target

Paços will be happy if, by the end of the season, they will be in the top flight still. The sooner they avoid relegation, the better.
