Den Bosch had a mostly underwhelming season last year as they too often seemed lightweight and devoid of ideas and could not quite find the sort of form needed to sneak into the play-offs. Jack de Gier is now looking for a more formidable and competitive side to emerge after the summer business and while there is certainly more work to be done in terms of additions, the likes of Danny Verbeek and Joey Konings, both coming from De Graafschap, represent a pretty good start. They offer goals and experience at this level and will certainly go a long way into replacing Soufiyan Ahannach, who was the main creator last season but has gone to Saudi Arabia. There is little else to pore over in the squad at the moment but keeping hold of decent players like Ryan Leijten, Rick Mulders and Sebastian van Bakel is a positive too. Overall, Den Bosch seem like they have a more solid structure to build on this season and may become more of a factor in mid-table and the battle to get into the lower end of the play-offs, but anything more is beyond them.

Target

Hoping to be closer to the play-off places this season.
