Helsingborgs returned to Allsvenskan after finishing 3rd in the Superettan last season and won the tie against Halmstads by 3-2 on aggreagate. Within the preseason Helsingborgs didn't show many promising signs as they didn't achieve to defeat teams of same level like Vejle (Denmark) or Honka (Finland) while their only wins were against Superettan teams. Anthony van den Hurk and Wilhelm Loeper were the best players of the team in Superettan but, unfortunately for Helsingborgs, Loeper is injured and he will be out for at least 3 months creating a lot of problems in the attacking line of the team as he was the player many of the 17 goals that Hurk scored last season. New acquisition Taha Ali will try to replace Loeper but things will be difficult as he has to adapt the soonest possible. Defense is HIF's weakest part of the team as there's not a real leader in this line, especially as defender Hendricksson is out for the season due to a knee injury. Chelsea-educated Ali Suljic can fill that gap and Charlie Weberg has a nice playing foot, but must prove that he can handle playing at the Allsvenskan level.

Target

It wii be a difficult season for Helsingborgs and their target will be to avoid relegation
