Malmo finished last season achieving a back to back success and gained their 22nd Allsvenskan title more easily than the league table shows, in which they were tied with AIK. They were consistently in the first place and they just had 2 draws in the last 4 matchdays that made the title a last day thriller. Two key players left in offseason, young promising defender Ahmedhodzic who was loaned out to Bordeaux, while striker Colak returned to PAOK in Greece. Colak was the top goalscorer of the team with 14 goals. Also squad players Innocent, Gwargis and Brorsson left the club. In order to replace Colak, Isaac Thelin came back and he has already started contributing as he scored in the Cup Semi Final, sending Malmo already to the Cup Final which will be played on May. To replace Ahmedhodzic, Hadzikadunic returned from Rostov back to the club, hoping that he will cover well the defensive gap that Anel left. Also Malmo has a new coach as Milos Milojevic replaced Jon Dahl Tomasson. He has not any luxury time in order to adapt and he will rely for sure again to star players of the team like Anders Christiansen, Jo Inge Berget and Veljko Birmancevic. Malmo gained more than half of their points on the road last season, so they have to improve their results at home as they won only 8 out of 15 matches.

Target

No less than winning the 3rd consecutive -and 23rd in team history- Allsvenskan title and also to win the Cup at the end of May as they are already qualified to the Final.
