After gathering 27 points in the second round of the season, Mjallby reversed the problematic situation in which they had found themselves with only 11 points after the initial 15 matches and avoid any relegation issues finishing in the 9th place of Allsvenskan. In plus Bergstrom and Sarr scored a combined 50% of Mjallby's total goals (17 out of 34) being an impressive attacking duo. This year, Mjallby will play for the third straight season in Allsvenskan. A main problem for them is that Sarr won't be around anymore so the gap in scoring has to be filled by players like Sam Johnson or Mamudu Moro alongside Bergstrom who will be again the milestone in Mjallby's attacking line (even if he may lose some matches at the start due to a concussion). Mjallby will have a new coach as Brannstrom was appointed on January after his spell as assistant manager in Hajduk Split. They had a very good pre-season as they remained undefeated while offering pretty good performances. Mjallby will continue to be a solid team, with problems in scoring but also trying to defend well. Last season less than 2,5 goals were scored in 67% of their matches while 20% of their Allsvenskan matches ended in a 0-0 draw. Mjallby lost several leading players (7 starters) since last season and this will be their main weakness at least at the initial stage of the league. Also the duration while Bergstrom will be unavailable is a question mark and that's also very important. In any case they will be again a hard team to be defeated.
