A poor start to the 2022/23 season saw Hull in serious danger of relegation. The appointment of former Hull player Liam Rosenior as manager in November steadied the ship. It wasn’t spectacular but workmanlike as Rosenior led the Tigers to avoid relegation fairly comfortably, eventually finishing 15th. Rosenior remains in charge going into this season. The off season has been fairly quiet at the MKM Stadium. The most notably departure is goalkeeper Darlow who was superb during loan spell at the club last season. There have been few incomings so far. The capture of young Manchester City forward Delap looks the most eye catching acquisition. He performed well in spells at fellow Championship sides Preston and Stoke last season. One of Hull's strengths under Rosenior last season was their work rate and being difficult to beat. That has again shone through in pre-season with box-to-box midfielder Slater continuing to stand out. A criticism levelled at the Tigers last season was a lack of ruthlessness in front of goal and that has remained in evidence during the build-up to this campaign.

Target

Playoffs. Have the makings of a strong side just need to find a way of scoring more goals.
