Farense is back to top flight 2 seasons after being relegated. Algarvios were in First Division just one season, the last time, and they will definitely want to try to do better, this time. Farense arrive at Primeira Liga after being 2nd in Segunda Liga, last season. Coach for the season is José Mota, the charismatic coach that has especialized in bringing teams up to top flight, but rarely makes an impact when in top flight itself. Mota is an old fashioned gaffer, and some will say even outdated. Farense will be heavily based on the team that was promoted last season, with just a handful of changes. At the back, Abner and Robson are gone, as well as the winger Pedro Henrique. 'Algarvios' apparently covered well the departures, bringing the youngsters Fran Delgado and Delys for the full-back positions, Artur Jorge for centre-back, and Bruno Duarte for the striker position. In goal, Luiz Filipe will replace the veteran Defendi and will dispute with Ricardo Velho the position. Rafael Barbosa is a very important addition to the attacking midfield area. The midfield looks the strongest area, with established players like Vítor Gonçalves, Cláudio Falcão and Mattheus Oliveira. In attack, Rui Costa is coming from an excellent season in Segunda Liga (10 goals), but he will have to compete with the very good Bruno Duarte.

Target

Expected to be involved in relegation dispute.
