Braga is coming from a successful season. Artur Jorge had a huge impact on the team and led 'Arsenalistas' to a veyr good 3rd place, just 9 points behind the champions, besides reaching the final of Taça de Portugal. For the new season, Braga will need to deal with the departure of the important winger Iuri Medeiros. The left-footed was an important unit in the past 3 years. Left-back Nuno Sequeira is also an important departure. As usual, Braga has been very sensible on the transfer market. Left-back Marín and Vítor Carvalho are typical surgical picks on the internal market; Rony Lopes is a big name signing, in the same logic as Bruma and Pizzi, last season. There are high hopes on the creative Zalazar arriving from Germany. Matheus will remain the firm choice for the goal, but there are some question marks for the back line, with Tormena close to leaving. New signing Fonte adds up experience, but with 39, it's questionable that he will be the right choice for the position. Niakaté is a solid centre-back, but Paolo Oliveira has been irregular in recent years. In the middle, Vítor Carvalho will add up to a position that has plenty good options, namely the energetic and technical Al Musrati. Bruma, the Horta brothers, Rony Lopes and Djaló are the main sources for creativity and skills behind the strikers Abel Ruiz and Banza, who proved to be a great attacking duo.
