Vizela is coming from a decent performance in 22-23. Vizela lost their iconic coach Álvaro Pacheco, and with him some of the team's aura; however, Tulipa was able to revive some of the team's enthusiastic spirit and Vizela kept an interesting team to follow and a relatively competent one too. For the new season, Vizela brought a new coach. Pablo Villar has been leading teams in distant leagues and is an unknown coach for most in Portugal. He usually prefers a 4-2-3-1 system and is known as a coach that relates with the players. Vizela had an interesting summer, transfer-wise, so far. They haven't lost any major unit and brought some players that might bring the team into a better level, this season. Vizela lost 4 relatively important players: defenders Igor Julião, Ivanildo Fernandes and Kiki Afonso and the striker Milan Osmajic. On the other hand, Rodrigo Escoval arrived for the back and strikers Iker Unzuela, Jardel Silva and Essende arrived to provide more options to attack. Unzuela is though to be a major improvement over Osmajic in the no.9 position. Buntic is a very safe goalkeeper; Alex Mendez is expected to have his affirmation, this season, while new signing Bustamonte has been giving good indications. Nuno Moreira is an always important winger. But the two most valuable units for Vizela remain the playmaker Samu and the winger Kiko Bondoso.
