On their return back to the top flight enjoyed a decent campaign. Never in real danger of relegation. Finished second in Play-off II and had the fourth best attack in the entire top flight – 51 goals scored in 32 rounds. The main issues last season were in defence. Only 2 teams conceded more than Odense’s 60 goals. Kept only 4 clean sheets in 32 rounds. Fixing their issues at the back seems to be the main priority for the off-season. So far 5 defenders have left, only Owusu was a regular starter of those. He has been replaced already with the addition of experienced Peter Therkildsen. Still, decreasing the depth at the back and banking on pretty much the same back line as last season might not deliver the improvement needed. Odense also lost their main chance-creator Ejdum. However, after missing the entire last season Bonde, plays in the same role, is a natural ready replacement. He will team up with veteran Falk and this should allow the effective all of last term as the main number 10 Arp to operate with freedom. Coach Zorniger preaches high pressing and all-out-attack, especially at home. To add even more firepower to the already potent front line he signed winger Topi Keskinen this summer. Another attacking player Anssi Suhonen was added to the ranks late last February. Both will be supporting Ganaus and Grot up front. Also, there should be much bigger role in attack for Niemec this season. He started rarely last term but in the play-offs scored some vital goals.
