Football Season Review

№10: Kasimpasa

Kasimpasa failed to kick off the season well, but they could finish it very well. After facing disappointments with Kemal Ozdes and Tayfur Havutcu, they did a great job under the charge of Fuat Capa. Had he arrived earlier, they could have done much better in the table. There was no special performer in the team’s rising form which could see them move to the midtable from the danger zone, but there are several contributors. Mame Thiam and Fode Koita have spurred the team’s offensive power with their 24 goals and 9 assists. In the midfield, Aytac and Hajradinovic also offered their career’s best performances. They all helped the team suffer only one defeat in the last 12 fixtures. Till February, they suffered long losing runs with the previous coaches. Those slip-ups cost them a lot. At this point, the board’s winter-break loanee arrivals like Hadergjonaj, Tirpan, Haddadi and Meriah improved the team’s defensive performance and they recorded 7 clean sheets in the last 12 fixtures. Some fans think that the club president should have appointed coach Fuat Capa earlier on and is expected to keep on working with him, but no. Because of economical reasons, they very surprisingly parted company with him. For the future, they have to fill his role immediately as the team have to work for the next season’s as soon as possible. Since loanees will have to return to their clubs and there are some offers for important offensive players, they need to decide about their summer transfer policy at once. The 1st task should be to improve the backline and keep the quality of the offence line.
