In 2025 Bromma appointed their inexperienced U19 coach Ulf Kristiansson in charge and tasked him to develop as many young players as possible. He gave 9 players age 18 and younger their senior debuts. Despite that the results were good enough to see Bromma finish 2 points above the bottom 3 in the end. They started slow but from late May onward moved outside the bottom 3 and never re-entered the relegation zone. 16-year-old Arhov was the brightest of the young stars and he was sold for a club-record fee this winter. Cashed in on several other players age 19 and younger, most notably strikers Lind and Alladoh. As a result the team’s finances are stable again. Clearly, the manager will be asked to develop more of the Academy players this season while still achieving enough wins to stay in the division. To help with the latter added a few experienced players. Defender Strand and attacking midfielder Berg will help the young players around them for certain. Last season on average 8 of the starters were age 23 and younger. More of the same can be expected in 2026 with Bromma’s policy clearly that of giving the youth a chance, while also making good profits by selling Academy products. Several top clubs already began a bidding war for 19-year-old centre-back Oskar Cotton ahead of the summer transfer market. To try and push up his value Bromma are likely to use Cotton often in the opening 10 rounds or so. There is always the risk of falling into trouble though but if somebody knows how to motivate young and inexperienced players to overachieve this is coach Kristiansson.

Target

Developing more youngsters while staying out of trouble is the primary objective in 2026.
