Finished 2nd in consecutive seasons. Both times well behind the champs but well ahead of everyone else. Determined to make the final step and win the title again. Had the best attack in 2025, scored 60 goals in the 30 rounds. Also, the 2nd best defence only to champs Mjallby. Despite his age (35) captain Besara remained hugely impactful. He finished with 17 goals and 8 assists. Was voted Player of the Season for 3rd time in the last 5 years. Besara will lead the charge again this year with Hammarby largely bringing the same team in 2026 in attempt to do better. Added extra weapon to the already great attack with the signing of Victor Lind. He is an aggressive winger that is capable of having 10+ goals and assists if given enough starts. The only notable departure was that of CB Vagic. Will be missed but Winther was expected to take a lot of his playing minutes anyway. Winther missed more than half of 2025 injured but late in the season looked great. Not likely to change their aggressive counter-pressing tactics. Will continue to rely on passionate home support, in 3 of the last 5 years Hammarby had the best home record. Up front experienced Nikola Vasic (34) is expected to have a strong season. He was Allsvenskan’s Golden Boot winner in 2024 but missed the entire last year injured. Despite that Hammarby signed him in late summer and after patiently waiting for him to recover they are ready to unleash him now.

Target

Eager to make the final step and finally win the title again.
