Had a memorable 2025. Finished 3rd and will play in Europe for the 1st time this century. Had the 2nd fewest defeats (6) and the joint-most draws (10), which helped a lot. The ability to avoid defeats was their main strength. Ibrahim Diabate won the Golden Boot with his 18 goals but it must be stressed that 12 of those were scored in the opening 15 rounds and late in the year he wasn’t very impactful. Still his move to La Liga is bound to weaken the attack. Canadian striker Samuel Salter was signed to replace Diabate. He is an interesting player that has much more pace and directness. If the manager wants to use a similar-style player to Diabate he will have to trust Hedlund. The only other major departure this winter was star chance-creator Boudri. Replaced well with the signing of Oscar Pettersson. Also, after many injury problems in 2025 Gustav Lundgren hopes to have much more chances to play this year. He often started ahead of Boudri last season when fit. Managing Europe and the domestic games will be a challenge. Lack such experience and come the summer months and the qualifying rounds in Europe there are fears the league could take back stage.

Target

High ambitions. Target another top 4 finish.
