Had a dream 2025. Won the Allsvenskan title for the first time in the club’s history and did that in the most convincing of fashions. Suffered s single defeat while achieving 4 more wins than the second-best team. Ended up full 13 points ahead of second place Hammarby with the title won with 4 rounds to spare. Had by far the best defence, only 18 goals conceded in 30 rounds. This on top of being the second-highest scoring team in 2025. This despite the fact that Stroud was the only player to reach double digits for goals, he had 10. It was the team effort and the constant contributions from everyone that led to this success. After such a year it wasn’t a surprise that manager Torstensson was poached by a bigger club. His assistant for the past 2 years Karl Aksum is given the chance to manage proper now. The two other major departures were of star goalkeeper Tornqvist (15 clean sheets in 2025) and the assist-king Herman Johansson (11 assists in 2025). Robin Wallinder arrived from the relegated Osters to be the new number one, while Faroe star Áki Samuelsen was signed to take the responsibilities on the left flank. Mjallby will be dealing with much more congested schedule in 2026 on top the big expectations they are not used to deal with. If the team reach the league phase in Europe they will need to expand the squad in the summer. Veteran Bergström and young Manneh were not hugely effective in attack last year. They will need to be better and at least one of them must reach 10+ goals if Mjallby want to continue scoring goals with ease. The main starters in defence and midfield will remain the same so at least defensively the chances are Yellow and Blacks will continue to be solid and very tough to score against.

Target

Will find it hard to defend their title. Top 3 finish will still be seen as a success.
