Pepa will be replacing Miguel Leal as Moreirense’s new manager, and the goal is to avoid last season’s instability. Despite avoiding relagation with a safe margin, in the end, defensive problems during the season led the northern team to be too close from red zone during a big part of the season. It certainly won’t be the easiest task, since the very best and most exciting player of last season left the group. Iuri Medeiros joined back his owners Sporting. The best striker in the team has also left: Rafael Martins was back to Levante, returning from loan. In exchange, Moreirense got some new loan deals that might help them get over the departures and help Pepa form a more consistent side. Rebocho from Benfica, Geraldes and Dramé from Sporting, as well as Arouca’s striker Roberto are expected to bring a new energy boost to the team.

Target

A mid-table position is usually the expected place for the green and whites. Fans would like them to be a little bit more consistent, though, and avoid spending so many rounds in dangerous positions in the table. But, in the end, avoiding relegation is definitely the main goal for the team.
