It could be said that Alanya enjoyed the last season despite missing the European Cups by one point only and being kicked out of the Turkish Cup in the semi final. In the summer, the board decided to recover the financial situation and not spend huge amount of money in the transfer market. So far, they were unable in bringing many new faces. Moreover, they have already lost some important players like Emre Akbaba, Borja and Novais. Balkovec come to the left back & Ferhat was brought in as an offensive winger. Two Turkish young players like Celik & Torlak moved to coach Farioli’s side to get some minutes in the rotation. Apart from them, there are several Turkish players who have returned after their loans in the lower leagues expired. Diedhiou is the sole available attacker at the moment. Until Milunovic left the team, the centre back, including Bayir, Aksoy and Mevlja, was the strongest area of the team but now it also looks short and needs new faces as other roles do. Lack of quality and experience could be a potential problem during the season. Tayfur already declared his dream of playing in a big team. Besides him, there are some serious offers for Diedhiou and Karaca. If the Italian coach loses any of them, he may have to face serious problems. Only Balkovec and Ferhat could be considered as regular starters now. Except him, the fans will have to see familiar faces from the last season. The board may have to change their decision and take necessary actions before the transfer market is closed following early results.

Target

Somewhere safe. It is obvious that Alanya will not be able to offer the last season’s quality following the board’s decision and disappointing transfer activity.
